Glenn Miller’s great American music lives again in
The Glenn Miller Tribute
Famous for being the leader of the most popular big band during the Big Big Band Era,  Glenn Miller is the music symbol of a generation.  Of all of the band and leaders of that era,  the memory of Glenn Miller is the most long-lived and powerful.  In the late 1930’s and 1940’s,  he was a “pop superstar” with literally dozens of hit songs creating a public reception that was as intense and frenzied as it was later for  stars like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles.   Some of those hit songs which are still popular today include:
“In The Mood”, “Moonlight Serenade”,  “I’ve Got A Gal In Kalamazoo”, “Tuxedo Junction”, “A String Of Pearls”, and “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, for which Glenn Miller received the first “gold” record in the recording industry.
.
Enlisting in the Army Air Corps during WWII, Glenn Miller formed one the greatest military bands of all times which entertained thousands of soldiers in The United States, England, and France.  Major Glenn Miller paid the ultimate sacrifice when he was lost over the English Channel in a plane traveling to France to prepare for performances.  His music continues to touch the hearts of millions of people around the world.
